Guitarnotes™ is the trading name for the Spanish Guitar Centre, Nottingham (UK). We are an independent company, unaffiliated to any other establishment. Our Guitar Centre was founded in 1969 by the late Robin Pearson (1941-83) who was a well-known recitalist and teacher. Following his untimely death, the business was continued by his partner Catherine Dickinson (a post-graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music and Fellow of the London College of Music) who was joined shortly thereafter by Andrew Liepins (B.Ed.Hons). Since then the business has diversified and developed into a truly international retailer, despatching goods to most countries worldwide.

The Centre maintains one of the largest specialist selections of music for the classical guitar anywhere, with upwards of 10,000 titles in stock. Andrew is justifiably acknowledged for his broad knowledge of the printed guitar music repertoire. His commitment and efficiency are awesome in providing a matchless international mail order service.

Unlike large numbers of internet guitar retailers today, we are a bricks-and-mortar establishment operating from commercial premises, dealing exclusively in the Classical Guitar. We located to our current premises in 1975 since when the extensive building has been completely renovated.

We are a small husband and wife team. Because our mail order operations do not always allow us to to look after personal callers, to avoid disappointment, please telephone prior to visiting.
