These three pieces were written in memory of an idyllic summer spent by the composer in the delightful village of Newton Burgoland in Leicestershire, U.K. "This was a time of peace, calm and contentment" and each piece represents an aspect of the moods and feelings of this time.

The Burgoland Suite  has been recorded on the CD 'Natural Elements' by Neville Cooper and Bernhard von der Goltz.
